To Liege, Belgium to be exact? I tried to find airlines that would take me there from Los Angeles but all were saying that they couldnt find a flight that met my needs. Am I supposed to stop somewhere or what?

You can’t FLY DIRECTLY to Liege from L.A…. you MUST fly to BRUXELLES first and then you can either fly on from Bruxelles to Liege or you can take the train or you can rent a car and drive it, because it’s about as fast, since Liege is only about 100 miles or so from Bruxelles.
I lived in Bruxelles for 2 years and was in Liege on several occasions because I had some friends who lived there. It’s a pretty little town… enjoy the trip

Basically take a cheap airline (to minimise cost) like Frontier airlines and then take a tranatlantic flight from JFK airport or Newark to Brussels, Belgium. From there you would have to take a train or bus network.
Enjoy your trip!

The reason they said they couldn’t find a flight to meet your needs is that there aren’t any scheduled airlines with services, or partner services, between LAX and Liege’s airport. Fly to Brussels, then take bus or train, if likely your best option. There aren’t any nonstops from LAX to BRU, so your connection would depend on the airline’s hub — via Chicago or New York if you flew American, or via Atlanta if you flew Delta, via Dulles if you choose United, via Amsterdam if you choose KLM, etc.

You need to have a stop or a connection. From LA you can fly direct to London. From there you can connect to Belgium, you could even just buy the USA to UK flight then buy a seperate UK to BELGIUM flight as the flights in the UK are cheaper due to lots of low cost airlines. Do a bit of research using Orbitz , expedia etc
Good luck
