What is the best way to get to Downtown Los Angeles from San Bernardino County other than driving?

Joanne asked:

I currently live in Redlands, California but have to work out in Downtown Los Angeles because the salary is better out there. I know that traffic is pretty bad and I am trying to find alternatives to get out to and from Los Angeles everyday (I will be working a 9 to 5 job, so I know that traffic will be worse either way). PLEASE HELP!

You might check out some ride sharing options, or the bus.

Go to a military surplus store and buy a parachute.

    Build a huge catapult.

    Don your parachute.

    Prepare the catapult.

Pull the rope and aWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY you go!

Don’t forget to pull the rip cord.

themr is right. Definitely your best bet is metrolink. #
it’s a commuter train with very fair prices. If you get a monthly pass it should save you money and I believe it lets you take amtrak (if it runs your route) before or after hours (in case you are working late some night or stay in LA for dinner or a something it is handy to have the option to get another way home.)
The ride’s reasonably comfortable and people are usually friendly on the train. You can nap, chat, read, etc. so it’s better than driving. The problem is- LA is big. If you can get the subway to work then the commute is great. If your workplace isn’t convenient by public transportation then you could have trouble.
