How is Los Angeles different from New York?

I just got accepted to schools in New York and Los Angeles. I’m from New Jersey so I know a lot about New York. I’ve never been to LA so what I want to know is how does Los Angeles differ from NY other than geographical location and climate?

What school? I go to UCSB, and people are pretty chill. New York people are more sophisticated. I go to school every day in shorts and a t-shirt. No one cares.

The folks in LA don’t get crazy and panic every time they see a low flying jetliner.

People in LA are a bit more laid back. Maybe it’s the weather.
Pizza ***** in LA, but the Mexican food makes up for it.
Everything is spread out here, so you have to drive to get anywhere. That’s why everyone drives a car. And it’s why the traffic is so bad.
We aren’t as passionate about sports as New Yorkers. If the Dodgers stink, no big deal. We just head for the beach instead of the stadium.
What you are isn’t so important as what you do. Nobody here cares if you’re black, white, yellow, gay, straight, or bi. As long as you get it done at work, that’s all that matters.

Los angeles is more laid back but the people are just as rude here
Another thing is the Mexican food and Burgers are better here
I wonder if they still sell the “California burger” in Jersey? sorry that reminds me of when i was stationed there LOL
also a regular coffee here is just plain old coffee Not loaded with Cream and gobs and gobs of sugar!
Plus the PEOPLE THAT ARE NATIVE HERE SPEAK UNDERSTANDABLE ENGLISH!!!! well most of them do.

I don’t know which part of Jersey you are from. But Elizabeth looks good to you then L.A is a Martha’s vineyard. . New York has a sense of community, L.A has a sense of disaster. New York people have no time, L.A people have no class.
Weather wise L.A wins hands down.

LA is just way more spread out. The city is diverse like NYC but the different areas are miles apart not Blocks.
