What places should I visit in Los Angeles to privately appreciate its modern architecture?

I am an architecture student and will be visiting Los Angeles for the first time this weekend. I want to see its modern residences/commercial buildings but I don’t know where to start. Any recommendations? A web site would be helpful so I can get addresses. Thank you.

in Downtown visit the new Disney Concert hall, and the new Cathedral. You might also want to check out the Getty.

The Getty Center. It’s the coolest thing I’ve seen in Los Angeles.
If you love fine art like I do, it’s a must. The buildings and grounds at the Getty are just as beautiful as the paintings inside.
Check out the photos, pretty rad huh?

Yeah, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Getty Museum.
How about these too:
-Performing Arts High School #9 by Coop Himmelb(l)au
-Right across the highway: Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels by Moneo
-The Schindler House
-Caltrans District 7 HQ by Morphosis (Thom Mayne)!!
-Ennis House by FLW
-Lovell House by Neutra
-LA Eyeworks by Neil Denari
-The Eames’ House
-More Gehry: his own house…
-Office dA’s Helios Gas Station
By no means an exhaustive list. I’ve linked to all projects below.
