Los Angeles
Jessica M asked:

Please, no jokes.. lol, I live in Millington, TN and the only celeb I’ve ever seen is Justin Timberlake! So I’m going to be in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks visiting family and beside the normal tourist attractions, I was wondering where I could spend a couple of days where I’d be likely to run into someone famous and maybe get a picture with them to bring home! lol So any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hey, I lived in Millington! So you want the LA celebrity equivalent to the Millington MWR?
LA Farmer’s Market - weekdays at breakfast time.

Eat at The Ivy restaurant during the week or eat at Mr. Chows

It is rare to see celebrities out in public, and if you did come across one you probably wouldn’t recognize them without their professionally applied makeup.

The proper etiquette when meeting a celeb is to leave them alone. Don’t ask for pictures, autographs, etc. They want their privacy respected when they aren’t working.

you probabaly wont see anyone. but rodeo drive and beverly hills will give you as fairer chance as any. i spent 2 weeks in l.a and saw one celeb. at a dodgers game on the camera as they pan round and make them wave. so didnt really see them in the flesh :-P

well your chances are slim to none especially if you want a photo with
    them
celebrities are people to they need their privacy they dont stand
on street corners waiting for fans to come by
and if you do see a celiberty eating LEAVE THEM Alone
or you will probably find yourself escort out of the place you saw them

Unless you buy a ticket to a show, there is no sure fire place to see celebrities in LA. And most of them, without their Hollywood makeup and the rest cannot be told from regular people.

I have liven in La for 8 years and have only seen one.

    Feb 22, Kodak Theater

Too many people believe you can just hang around and find a celeb. The truth is that celebrities value their privacy. Did you ever stop the think that a celebrity doesn’t want to take a picture with you? Some people get really obnoxious, and don’t give people their space.

My advice is to leave them alone. Hang out at the Ivey one morning, Canter’s, or Farmer’s Market. But you might not even recognize a celebrity without makeup.

A couple places that are owned and run by celebrities-

Belle Gray it’s owned by Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna. I’ve spotted Lisa Rinna at the Sherman Oaks store (They also have a shop further North, in Calabasas) many times. But I’ve only seen Harry Hamlin there once.

    Mulberry Street Pizza
The owner is Oscar winner Cathy Moriarty. She’s got three pizzerias. But she is most often found at the CaƱon Drive location, actually in the kitchen cooking the food (The spinach white pizza is the best thing on the menu!). Besides herself. I have spotted Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro there and also at the Beverly Blvd location several times (though never together).

Another reliable place is The Rose Bowl Flea Market, in Pasadena. This happens on the second Sunday of every month. You will have to look hard… Like nearly everybody at this place, celebrities are found low-key, with no make-up and often in “thrown-on” clothes and hiding under caps and sunglasses. The last person I spotted there, was Nicole Ritchie, who was posing for a photo with a little girl.

My advice, however, is just to look at them in a casual manner. Don’t approach, unless you really can’t help yourself. they’re “Off the clock” and like everybody else, they deserve privacy. But if you do approach them… Try to be complimentary but don’t fawn over them, they may actually give you extra time/attention this way.
