What is a better vacation spot: Los Angeles or San Diego?

My aunt and uncle were planning on taking me and my cousin to either Los Angeles or San Diego for a vacation. Any opinions on which place is a better vacation spot? Or if there is a better place I should go instead of one of those? Thanx!

    I like San Diego because of Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, etc.

    San Diego has beautiful weather, clean air, and an altogether better more peaceful vibe. If you plan on going there make sure to visit La Jolla, it’s absolutely gorgeous!

    I am partial to San Diego since I have lived here my whole life however, L.A. and San Diego are about 110 miles apart. Find a place to stay in Laguna Niguel, which is about half way between the two and you can do things in both cities.

    These are both excellent vacation spots. Before I moved to LA, when I took a vacation here, I always took a day or two for a side trip to San Diego.

    San Diego does not have quite as mush stuff but these things are closed together. LA has more stuff to see and do but these things are very far apart ans you will spend more time driving between them.

    I suggest that if you are in LA for say 6 days that your family go to San Diego for an over nighter as part of the trip.

    If you are looking for more laid back relaxation, San Diego.

    Looking for more excitement, sightseeing type of trip, then L.A.

    L.A. is very busy and fast paced, so take that into consideration.
