My husband and I are planning a trip San Diego and Los Angeles in December. Can you recommend a book that would give us some good information about places to go, places to see, how to get tickets to shows, tours to take etc.
Thanks for your help.

See if you can find a book on the area(s) by a company called Frommer’s. They usually release guides for all the BIG cities and popular tourist destinations at least on an annual basis.

Lonely Planet is still one of the better no nonsense books, I think there’s some relevant info on their website.
In December, NBC San Diego has their wanna be Rockefeller Center ice rink set up, the ticket booth for theater shows is right by there, and the Hotel Del Coronado is decked out for the holidays.
The Trolley tour is out of Old Town and is the best one to get to see everything in one day.
This is just pertaining to San Diego…
